EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY - DEPUTY REGISTRAR
COTBC is the regulatory body for British Columbia’s 2037 registered Occupational Therapists with the mandate to protect the public through the regulation of Occupational Therapists.
COTBC is seeking applications from Occupational Therapists for the position of Deputy Registrar. To be successful in the position you must be registered (or eligible for registration with COTBC), preferably with a broad scope of occupational therapy experience, with at least five years of experience in occupational therapy role(s) such as professional practice leadership, program development or administration.
Reporting to the Registrar the successful candidate will contribute to meeting the mandate of the College as part of the senior management team by leading projects, supporting college committees such as registration, standards and other designated committees, and assuming the Registrar’s duties in the Registrar’s absence.
Based in Victoria BC, the Deputy Registrar position is currently four days/ week with potential for moving to full time. The Deputy Registrar will be flexible in structuring his or her time to meet the needs of the college and its committees.
Experience or an interest in health professions regulation is an asset. Master Degree is preferred such as professional master degree or post-professional degree related to health administration, business or education.
Excellent verbal and written skills as well as effective teamwork skills will enable the successful candidate to assume the responsibilities of this position.
