Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists

Professional development

It is the position of the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT) that continuing professional education is essential for the personal and professional development of occupational therapists and for advancement of the profession of occupational therapy. In accordance with the mission of the Association to advance excellence in occupational therapy, CAOT recognizes that access to and acquisition of current relevant and evidence-based knowledge, skills and behaviours are the key to the development and use of best practices in occupational therapy. CAOT assists occupational therapists in meeting professional development needs through learning services and products including publications, webinars, workshops, endorsed and co-sponsored courses, and resources for evidence-based practice.

CAOT Learning Services

Through CAOT’s Learning Services, we offer occupational therapists services and products to meet professional development needs, which include publications, webinars (Lunch & Learns and Water Cooler Talks), workshops and conferences, and other resources for evidence-based practice.

Tell us how CAOT can continue to meet your educational needs by providing suggestions for future workshops and/or webinars. Contact education@caot.ca
