Putting Person-Centred Care into Practice: Creating "Culture Change" in Working with People Living with Dementia - Webinar Archive
Presenter: Mary Schulz
Description: Most people with dementia want to live in their own homes for as long as possible. However, many will move to a long-term care home. In 2008, the Alzheimer Society of Canada embarked on a "culture change" initiative focusing on the needs of people with dementia living in long-term care homes. This webinar will overview qualitative research findings on key elements of a "successful" culture change to person-centred care then explore PC-PEARLSTM resources. Throughout the webinar, practical information, strategies and tools will be provided in order to practice a person-centred approach to support people living with dementia.
