New innovation award
The purpose of the Roulston Innovation Award is to recognize innovation in one of the following areas:

Best design project
-
Most innovative idea developed during course work
-
Most innovative research project
-
Best fieldwork placement in private practice
-
Most innovative program development
The following eight universities received $100 to award to a student of their choice, based on the award criteria:
University of Alberta
Université Laval
McGill University
McMaster University
University of Ottawa
Queen’s University
University of Toronto
University of Western Ontario
COTF donor reception
On April 26, 2004, COTF held its donor reception at the Art Institute of Toronto. Approximately 30 people attended this enjoyable event where COTF had the opportunity to thank its donors, recognize its largest donors (CAOT, Willis Canada Inc., Invacare and Sunrise Medical) and provide the opportunity for networking.
Art auction “Art Ability”
Art Ability will take place on October 16, 2004 at the Art Institute of Toronto and approximately 25 artists will be featured. The proceeds will be shared 50/50 between the artist and COTF. Tickets will be $20 and $15 for students.
The objectives of the art show are to:

Raise money for COTF;
-
Raise awareness for the occupational therapy profession;
-
Showcase and heighten awareness of local artistic talent; and
-
Create an opportunity for local artists to sell their work.
