Canadian Life and Culture

  • Newcomers to Canada may find that life is very different from their home countries. Citizenship and Immigration Canada has plenty of helpful advice about  settling and living in Canada. More information can also be found through Canada International

Getting a Driver’s License

Occupational therapists who work in the community or visit clients in their homes often need to drive from one spot to another. In rural areas, different jobs may be located far away from each other and public transportation may be limited.

It is recommended that international graduates look into getting a driver’s license. Contact your provincial Ministry of Transportation to learn more.

The following site provides links to provincial government Web sites, where you can locate the  Ministry of Transportation for each province.
