Delivery

Canadian Orders

• Shipping costs are based on total cost of publications and products.
• Shipments are processed in our office within 10 business days.
• Expedited shipping will be used for all orders unless another method is chosen. Faster options include:
  • Express Post - See delivery schedule below
  • Priority Courier (overnight delivery between major cities) - To use this shipping method please contact our office at 800-434-2268 ext. 242.
• Faster shipping methods do not include processing time. If you would like your order processed faster, there is a $15.00 fast-track fee. Click here to add the fast-track fee to your order and it will be shipped from our office within one business day.
• If your order is over $250.00 you will be contacted with the shipping rate.

US/International Orders

• All orders are shipped surface delivery, unless otherwise specified.
• Shipments are processed in our office within 10 business days.

General Purchasing Information

• All orders must be prepaid, including shipping charges and applicable taxes, with the exception of CAOT members.
• CAOT members receive a 25% discount on most CAOT publications. This discount is for personal use only. Any member failing to login who requests a refund is subject to a $10.00 administration fee.
• Bulk discounts apply to orders of 25 books or more.
• All items, subject to availability, will be shipped within 10 business days of receiving order/payment. 
• Prices are subject to change without notice.

Methods of Payment

• We accept Visa, MasterCard, cheques, international money orders and wire transfers, payable in Canadian or U.S. funds.
• All prices are quoted in Canadian funds.
• For credit card orders not made through the e-store, we recommend printing your order and faxing it to 613 523-2552 or calling us with your credit card information at 800 434-2268, ext. 242 (toll free in Canada and the U.S.), or at 613 523-2268, ext. 242
• Please ensure to select the correct shipping/handling method and include the correct shipping taxes.
• Please add the appropriate sales tax(es) to your order.

Sales Tax

E-books:

Taxes on E-books are based on the province in which you reside.  See the schedule below for further details:

• Newfoundland, New Brunswick and Ontario - 13% 
• British Colombia - 12%
• Nova Scotia - 15%
• Quebec - 13.925%
• All other Canadian Provinces - 5%
• Outside Canada - 13%

Publications:

Taxes on publications are 5% for all orders within Canada.  For orders placed from outside Canada there are no applicable sales taxes.  * Shipping costs are taxable.

Returns

• Returns must be approved by CAOT's publications division, which can be reached toll free at 800 434-2268, ext. 242, or at 613 523-2268, ext. 242.
• There are NO returns on electronic books (e-books) and/or materials purchased.
• Books must have been purchased within the last year and must be of the current edition.
• After approval has been granted, books must be returned in resalable condition. Books returned to us in poor condition will be sent back C.O.D.
• Although books may be refunded, all initial shipping costs must be paid by the client.
• Return shipping costs, including all customs/duty fees, are the client's responsibility. Books received at the CAOT National Office with charges pending will be refused.
• Book returns may not exceed 25 copies per book, and returns over 10 copies are subject to a $10.00 restocking fee.

Subscription refund policy

• Refunds are only available for subscriptions that have not begun and are subject to a $10.00 service charge. Once a subscription has begun there are no refunds.
