Careers in Canada
Occupational therapists in Canada have a number of employment opportunities available to them. In addition to the traditional hospital settings and rehabilitation centres, many therapists find challenging opportunities in private practice clinics, community and home care programs, schools and government.
In order to work as an occupational therapist in Canada, you must be registered with the occupational therapy regulatory body in the province where you will be employed. Each of these bodies are responsible for not only the regulation of the profession in their province but also the ongoing competency of their registrants.
