HST added to Newfoundland and Labrador insurance premiums

The government of Newfoundland and Labrador has introduced a provincial retail sales tax (RST). As a result, the new RST of 15% will be applied to insurance premiums as of July 1 2016.

HST increase in Newfoundland/Labrador and New Brunswick as of July 1 2016

The governments of Newfoundland and Labrador and New Brunswick have recently announced an increase in the provincial harmonized sales tax (HST) rate.  As a result, the increased HST rate of 15% will be applied to all purchases made through CAOT as of July 1st, by those residing in Newfoundland and Labrador and New Brunswick.
