OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST(S)
Commencing on a mutually agreed upon date

Prairie Spirit School Division has 44 schools located in 28 communities surrounding the City of Saskatoon and serves three First Nations and nine Hutterite communities. The student population of approximately 9,800 is served by a team of dedicated professionals and support staff.

The Position

Occupational Therapists work collaboratively with our Learning Support Services and school teams to support student learning. Primary duties will include assessment of referred students and providing interpretations of assessments to teachers, staff, and parents.   As well, duties will include reviewing testing and screening procedures and making recommendations to support classroom and student programming.   The successful candidate will also be responsible for submitting final reports for all students referred for assessment, reviewing and designing programs and being a resource to school-based instructional teams.  Occupational Therapists collaborate with the school division Learning Support Services team and perform other such services as shall be mutually agreed upon from time to time.  The successful candidate(s) for this 1.0 FTE position will work according to the Prairie Spirit yearly school calendar, observing working and holiday days as followed by the teaching staff.  This position may be filled by one or more candidates.

The successful candidate will:

• Possess a degree from an educational program recognized by the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT); and
• Be a member of the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists (SSOT).
