Description

ON-DEMAND WEBINAR PURCHASE

Presented by: Marina Scott MS, OTR/L

Handwriting is a critical developmental skill in school-aged children. Handwriting difficulties can impact children in all areas of their academic development and these difficulties are commonly addressed by occupational therapists. Referrals to occupational therapists often centre around concerns with fine and visual motor skills, which are critical pieces of handwriting.

This webinar will explore the development of hand skills, difficulties with handwriting and how to identify them. This webinar will also explore how fine and visual motor skills affect handwriting, as well as tips, tricks and intervention ideas. Finally, handwriting in older children will also be reviewed.

After taking part in this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Identify the developmental sequence of handwriting.
  2. Identify the main difficulties with handwriting for children.
  3. Learn how to apply ideas and topics explored during this webinar to their everyday practice.
