Title
Technology and the Buddha - Exploring the Use of Biofeedback, Meditation and Art Therapy for Persons with an Acquired Brain Injury (June 7, 2016)
Description
Combining biofeedback, meditation and an art activity can improve a person's self-awareness of stress and anxiety levels. Increased self-awareness allows a person and a therapist to identify areas of occupational performance that have decreased due to the impairments of the brain injury. This forms the basis of a collaborative therapeutic relationship where client-centred goals are identified. Progress on these goals empowers a person to create meaningful changes. This webinar explores the use of biofeedback (Heart Rate Variability) in conjunction with meditation and art therapy. Case studies will be presented to highlight a person's treatment progression. Quantitative and qualitative data will be reviewed.
