ON-DEMAND WEBINAR PURCHASE
Presented by: Michelle Suarez, OTR/L
Children with feeding dysfunction often seek occupational therapy services to remediate mealtime or food repertoire issues. The Just Right Challenge Feeding Protocol is an evidence-informed approach that uses "systematic desensitization combined with behavioral principles to increase the dietary repertoires of children with food selectivity" (Suarez & Bush, 2020, p. 8).
This webinar will cover the theoretical contributions of a biomechanical frame, cognitive-behavioural frame, behavioural frame and sensory integration frame to the Just Right Challenge Feeding Protocol. Participants will learn strategies for assessing a baseline, for intervention and for tracking meaningful changes in a child's dietary repertoire. Steps in the intervention process for typical presentations of food selectivity will be covered and home programming will be discussed. Finally, research data will be provided to outline expectations for change with this intervention approach.
After taking part in this webinar, participants will be able to:
