Anxiety can involve excessive worry about everyday situations and can disrupt occupational engagement and performance thereby affecting rehabilitation goals and progress. Occupational therapists understand the importance of the mind-body connection and its relationship to performance and engagement in meaningful occupations. Yoga, when used as an adjunct to therapy has a potential to address state anxiety. This webinar presents the results of a systematic review concerning the effectiveness of yoga as a treatment approach for state anxiety. Based on the findings, we will explore how yoga can be a viable therapeutic option for reducing state anxiety in certain therapy situations.
