This webinar will present an overview of Mount Hope's process of managing power mobility. This process developed from a literature review includes assessment, review of policy and signing of an agreement, monitoring and follow up from "accidents" which are called occurrences.
Alexandre Mouret, lawyer, will present an overview of the legal aspects of managing power mobility and answer questions such as is a client's use of a power wheelchair a right or a privilege? Can the facility be liable for accidents caused by clients? What is the state of the law with regard to power mobility devices and driving those devices while impaired?
