What is CarFit?

CarFit is an educational program that provides a quick, yet comprehensive review of how well you and your vehicle work together. It teaches you to improve your safety and comfort behind the wheel, as a driver.

CarFit for the Public

CarFit helps drivers like you by teaching you:

  • how to fit your vehicle to you.
  • what adjustments to your vehicle improve your safety and your comfort.
  • how to adjust your vehicle to meet your changing needs as a driver.
  • what community resources exist to help you drive safely.

At a Virtual On-Demand CarFit Event, you can expect that:

  • You will complete the survey below to participate and receive access to the event materials.
  • The event will occur online and you will participate via a laptop, tablet or desktop computer.
  • In the recording, a trained CarFit Instructor will review a self-assessment checklist with you virtually.
  • It will take about half an hour.
  • It is free.
  • You will learn how to adjust specific features of your vehicle to improve comfort and safety.

  • It will take about 20 minutes.
  • The CarFit checkup will happen at your home or in your community.
  • You will be in your vehicle during the event.
  • It is free.
  • The event may be 1:1 with you parked in a parking spot, your driveway, or at a drive-thru location like a parking lot.
  • You will have an opportunity to ask questions.
  • You will learn how to adjust specific features of your vehicle to improve comfort and safety.
  • You will receive a list of additional resources, like more help available in your community about safe driving.

Note that events are slowly expected to return in 2023.  They may not occur in your community.

Drivers are always welcome to watch a Virtual On Demand CarFit Event when an In Person CarFit Event is not available in their community.
