Pelvic floor disorders can have a significant impact, not only on the physical aspect of a person, but also the mental, emotional, social, and overall well-being of an individual. Canadian statistics have indicated 25-50% of all women will develop some degree of pelvic floor support issue, and 10% of the Canadian population are living with some form of urinary incontinence (Canadian Continence Foundation, 2020). By nature of occupational therapy’s comprehensive approach, the profession is in a unique position to provide holistic support.
This webinar will review pelvic floor anatomy, function, and dysfunction, the impact of pelvic floor dysfunction and how occupational therapy can contribute. Participants will learn practical strategies that they may use with clients immediately following the workshop. Appropriate referrals will be reviewed and additional resources will be provided.

CAOT will not provide a refund six days or less prior to the webinar. If you are unable to attend the webinar live, all webinars are recorded and registrants receive access to the recording following the webinar, pending exceptional technical difficulties, within three business days.
