Occupational therapists are working increasingly with populations who have experienced psychological trauma. Maintaining an occupational perspective in research and practice is critical to making an impact in the daily lives of clients and to anchor the profession in its key domain of concern.

This webinar will review the current state of the evidence related to occupational therapy and psychological trauma, highlight the Occupational Therapy Trauma Intervention Framework (OTTIF), and discuss developments and opportunities in occupational therapy practice.

After taking part in this webinar, participants will be able to: 

  1. Describe the current state of the evidence related to occupational therapy and psychological trauma;
  2. Apply the Occupational Therapy Trauma Intervention Framework (OTTIF) to research and practice; and
  3. Explain the unique contributions to and opportunities for occupational therapy in this practice area.
