Pediatric feeding difficulties are estimated to impact 25-35% of typically developing children and up to 80% of children with developmental disabilities (Milano, 2019). Caregivers of children with pediatric feeding difficulties often have high stress levels and have challenges balancing personal needs while worrying about their child’s health (Simone et al., 2020).
This webinar will provide participants with an overview of pediatric feeding disorders with an emphasis on picky eating. Participants will learn risk factors for feeding disorders and the impact on families by exploring the ways in which parenting style, culture, environment, and client factors may shape the mealtime experience Participants will identify intervention activities and strategies that support the complex aspects of feeding.
