Becoming a CAOT Provisional Associate (PA):

To become a CAOT Provisional Associate, you are required to pre-pay for your first full calendar year of membership fees and insurance, effective after successfully completing the NOTCE. There are two different options for you to pre-pay for your membership and insurance.

  1. If you are interested in the NOTCE Study Guide and Practice Exam, the "Ready for Work" Bundle is a great option! You receive the NOTCE Study Guide and Practice Exam, the original NOTCE Study Guide and Practice Exam (TOTEM/TOTE), which provides you with 200 extra practice questions, first-year membership with CAOT and CAOT Professional Liability Insurance for a full year. By purchasing the "Ready for Work" Bundle online, you will automatically be converted to a CAOT Provisional Associate within 3 business days, and will be contacted by email with confirmation of your PA status. Modifying or deleting any of the 5 Bundle items in your cart will render your membership, insurance and Provisional Associate status invalid.
  2. If you are not interested in purchasing the exam preparation materials, you can simply pre-pay for your first-year membership fees and insurance, by filling out our New Practitioner Registration/Renewal form or a Membership Registration form for IEOTs who graduated more than 4 years ago. Please note “Pre-order” on the top of your form and email your completed form to  membership@caot.ca  or fax it to 613-523-2552.  Your form will be processed within 1-3 business days of receipt, and you will be contacted by email with confirmation of your PA status. (*Please note- Pre-orders are not eligible for the monthly pay program)

Once you are converted to a CAOT Provisional Associate, your membership services team will provide you with further details, and will assist you in setting up insurance to cover you immediately, if required.
